Project Objectives

The main objective of BRAC's Skills Development Programme (SDP) is to empower vulnerable youth and marginalized groups by equipping them with technical and employability skills to secure decent and sustainable employment, contributing to a skilled workforce and economic development. The program focuses on providing hands-on apprenticeships, entrepreneurship training, and enterprise development while linking graduates to job opportunities and supporting their entry into the formal and informal sectors

Expected Outcomes

The BRAC Skills Development Programme (SDP) has achieved positive outcomes, including improved employability and increased incomes for participants, particularly women, with a high percentage securing jobs after graduation. The program's successes lie in its comprehensive approach that combines practical skills training with soft skills development, entrepreneurship focus, career counselling through initiatives like Career Hub, and job placement services. Key outcomes include fostering self-reliance, promoting economic independence for marginalized groups, and contributing to social inclusion. 1
