Project Objectives

Understand the concepts of play and socio-emotional development such as self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making etc. through a wide range of reading and discussion. Become aware of approaches to play and learning standards to ensure socio-emotional development and wellbeing among children. Become aware of well-being and importance of mental health in adults and exploring how self-care translates into caring for others. Been introduced to benefits of play and nurturing children’s spontaneity and significance of culturally rooted plays and human-mediated plays in everyday life. Been introduced to BRAC’s Play Lab Model as a successful implementation of learning through play and grounding the conceptual ideas of learning through play pedagogy in the context of Bangladesh.

Play-based, socio-emotional, and project-based learning Prioritising holistic development and enhancing critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
