Project Objectives

Promote and facilitate community-led, Learnings from localized child-centered Anticipatory Action Planning are embedded in the Disaster Risk Management Framework across local and national Anticipatory Action to minimize shocks from extreme events. Anticipatory Action, encompassing a child centered gender-sensitive approach to safeguard lives and livelihoods from climate-induced hazards in northern and coastal regions in Bangladesh.

Expected Outcomes

Increased access and capacity of communities and local institutions to climate information services and effective Early Warning systems to cope with climate variability and multi-hazard risks. Communities and local institutions are well-equipped with risk-informed Anticipatory Action Plans to foster child centered Anticipatory Action for reducing loss and damage. Learnings from localized child-centered Anticipatory Action Planning are embedded in the Disaster Risk Management Framework across local and national Anticipatory Action to minimize shocks from extreme events.
