NDF Microfinance program (NDF-MFP)

Project Objectives

The objective of the MFP is to help the poor people to be self reliant by creating easy access to finance. Major functions of the MFP are as follows: (1) To assist the poor, vulnerable, unemployed poor people to undertake income generating activities to improve their economic condition. (2) To meet the loan demand of members which could not met otherwise from the savings fund alone. (3) To reduce the dependency on village money lenders on high interest. (4) To assist the oppressed women to be united and find the way of income and self employed. (5) To make each member and society self-reliant (6) To involve the rural manpower in economic activities. (7) To make the land less people aware of different social issues as well as economically self-reliant.

Expected Outcomes

The Outcomes of the program is as follows: (1) The targeted poor people improve household income and reduced the poverty by receiving loan to undertake income generation activities. (2) Increased savings habit and financial security of the group members. (3) The women are aware about their rights and socio-economic empowerment and decision making of them increased. (4) Oppress to the women are reduced The impacts are as follows: (1) About 90% women of the rural and urban areas earned money through various income generating activities by taking loan from different NGOs & helped their families. (2) Most of the villagers improved their economic conditions and become self reliant through micro credit. (3) The decision making processes and empowerment of the women in the rural areas increased.
